The short version: LootShrine does not sell your data, shows no ads and uses no advertising trackers. We use privacy-focused analytics (TelemetryDeck) that collect no personal data, and RevenueCat to manage your purchases. Your saves stay on your device and in your iCloud account. A few shared features — the Hall of the Fallen, Echoes, shared builds and friend challenges — publish your Game Center nickname and run details so other players can see them. Section 2 explains exactly what, and how to turn it off.

1. WHAT WE COLLECT

LootShrine does not collect any personal information. We do not require account creation, login credentials, email addresses, or any form of registration to play the game.

We collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics through TelemetryDeck to understand how the game is used (e.g. which floors players reach, which classes are popular). This data contains no personal identifiers, no device IDs, no IP addresses, and cannot be traced back to any individual user. TelemetryDeck is designed to be privacy-first and is GDPR-compliant by default.

2. GAME DATA & STORAGE

All game progress, save data, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your save data is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

We do not have access to your iCloud data. We cannot read, modify, or delete your cloud saves.

Shared features. Some features exist so players can see each other’s heroes. They use the public database of Apple’s CloudKit, which any LootShrine player can read:

  • Hall of the Fallen and Echoes — when a run ends on floor 3 or higher, the game publishes your Game Center nickname (or “Adventurer”), an anonymous CloudKit user ID, your chosen avatar, frame and nameplate, the hero’s class and build, the game mode, the floor reached, run statistics (time, kills, gold, bosses, sacrifices, HP) and what defeated you. Other players can see the run in their Hall of the Fallen for 14 days and pick the hero as an Echo in the Eternal Climb; when someone does, a counter on that record goes up by one. This is on by default; turn it off in Settings → Hall of the Fallen → Share My Heroes.
  • Shared builds — only when you tap Share: the build, its hero, floor and mode, and your nickname and avatar, for one year.
  • Friend challenges — only when you create or accept one: your nickname, the run’s statistics and floor-by-floor progress, and the result, for 7 days.
  • Your public profile — your Game Center player ID and the cosmetics you have chosen (avatar, frame, nameplate), so leaderboards and the Hall can show them.

None of this includes your real name, email, location, device identifiers or contacts. To have your shared records removed before they expire, email us at the address below.

3. GAME CENTER

LootShrine uses Apple's Game Center for leaderboards, achievements, and friend challenges. Game Center data (your player name, scores, and achievements) is managed entirely by Apple. We access your Game Center friends list solely to enable Ghost Challenge invitations between friends.

Your Game Center nickname and player ID are also used by the shared features in Section 2, so other players can see whose fallen hero, build or challenge they are looking at. We never sell your Game Center data or share it with any third party.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

LootShrine uses the following third-party services:

  • TelemetryDeck — Privacy-focused product analytics. Collects anonymous, aggregated signals with no personal identifiers, no tracking across apps, and no user profiling. See TelemetryDeck's Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat — Manages all in-app purchases and receipt validation, including the one-time full-game unlock and the optional Supporter Packs. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts to verify your transactions. It does not collect your name, email, or any personal information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple Game Center — Leaderboards, achievements, and friend challenges (managed entirely by Apple).
  • Apple CloudKit — iCloud save sync, and the public database behind the shared features in Section 2 (managed entirely by Apple).

LootShrine does not use any advertising SDKs, social media trackers, data brokers, or marketing platforms. No ads are shown, ever.

5. IN-APP PURCHASES

LootShrine is free to download. The first 10 floors can be played without any payment. Unlocking the full game (floors 11–120) is a one-time in-app purchase.

There are also optional Supporter Packs — cosmetic-only purchases that grant supporter portraits, frames, and nameplates. They never affect gameplay, stats, or balance. Buying them is entirely optional and never required to play any part of the game.

Kalzania: The Unspent Year is an optional paid expansion — a separate 50-floor campaign that requires the full game. Beyond the full-game unlock, the Kalzania expansion and the optional Supporter Packs, there are no other in-app purchases — no consumables, no subscriptions, no loot boxes, and no advertising.

All purchase transactions are processed by the App Store and verified through RevenueCat using an anonymous identifier. No payment information is collected or stored by LootShrine.

Refund requests. If you ask Apple for a refund, Apple may ask us for information to help it decide. With your consent, RevenueCat responds on our behalf with a minimal set of facts: whether the purchase was successfully delivered and is working, that a free trial of the content was available before purchase, and our stated preference — which is to let Apple decide. No gameplay data, playtime, or personal information is shared. This happens only if you initiate a refund request.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

LootShrine does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The game needs no account, email or registration. The only identifying detail that can appear in shared features is a player’s Game Center nickname, which is governed by Apple’s parental controls, and sharing heroes can be turned off at any time in Settings → Hall of the Fallen → Share My Heroes.

7. DATA SHARING

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share any personal data with third parties. Anonymous analytics signals are processed by TelemetryDeck, and anonymous purchase receipts are processed by RevenueCat, as described above. Neither service receives any personally identifiable information.

The shared features described in Section 2 show your Game Center nickname and run details to other LootShrine players by design. That data is stored by Apple, not by a third party, and it is never sold or used for advertising.

The one exception is refund handling: if you request a refund, the limited purchase-delivery facts described in Section 5 are shared with Apple to help resolve your request.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we update this Privacy Policy, the changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
